Facial tumors can be erroneous for tumors which grow in the aural nerve called Vestibular Schwannomas. Basically, the general types of growths and tumors form on the facial nerve are haemangiomas and Shwannomas. Facial nerve tumors are always gentle which means that they are not cancerous but still creates problems.

What are the symptoms of a facial or oral tumor?

The symptoms vary as per the setting of the tumor with the length of the facial tissue, as some tumors develop within the salivary gland in the cheek and others may develop forwarding and are present with minor special symptoms. In general, the symptoms are:

  • Slow development of a facial weakness for weeks
  • Dizziness or balance issues
  • Facial twisting
  • The hearing loss may be present based on the location of the tumor.

How to treat the facial and oral tumors?

The surgical procedures are the best to treat the facial nerve tumors after the assessment test. During the treatment, the medical history of the patient is referred which is most helpful in performing the surgery. Additionally, there is observation of facial muscles which are to be set as per the face and of the movements with eye closure and blinking as they are more helpful for the medical photography record. Consult the surgeon and get the improper facial appearance set in a right way with a possible diagnosis and treatment.
