Root Canals

A root canal is a treatment that treats the tooth nerves. It is an endodontic treatment which deals mainly with the tooth tissues and pulp that surrounds the tooth root. If there is problem with root canal, then it is treated by dentists or by an endodontist who has many years of experience and multiple training to focus mainly on the root canal treatments and perform to present better results. During the treatment, the tooth pulp is removed and all the pulp chamber and canals of the tooth are filled and fastened to prevent bacteria to enter and create the problem again.

What is the need of a root canal treatment?

There are various reasons for root canal treatment which may be due to the damage in the nerve or pulp of the tooth and even due to:

• Pain, which is a common symptom of a root canal treatment requirement and arises due to the pressure on the tooth while chewing or biting anything.
• When a tooth becomes abscessed as it requires a root canal which forms when the tooth dies and pus forms around the corner of the root.
• Due to deep cavities
• Due to trauma which hits the tooth with great force.
• When a tooth is fractured for which root canal is essential.

Root canal treatment is a beneficial option which is useful for most of the tooth problems to remain functional and in a healthy way.
